Who is responsible for your data

Vera Sciarrino is the data controller for the details you send through this site. The postal address is Via Agrigento 40, Palermo, Italy. You can reach us at [email protected] for anything on this page.

What we collect, and only when you write to us

This site has no account, no login and no shop. The only moment we receive anything about you is when you fill in the enquiry form: your email address, your arrival date, the number of nights and guests, whether your dates are flexible, and — if you choose to add them — your phone number and a message.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to arrange your stay. In the language of the GDPR that is Article 6(1)(b): steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. We do not use your details to send you marketing, and we do not sell or share them with anyone for their own purposes.

Who else handles it

The form is delivered by Web3Forms, which forwards your message to our mailbox. Web3Forms operates from the United States, so sending the form transfers your details outside the European Union. Our mailbox is a Google account, which also stores your message. Both act on our instructions.

How long we keep it

Your enquiry stays in our mailbox for as long as we need it to answer you and, if you book, to handle your stay and meet the record-keeping duties that apply to short-term rentals in Italy. Write to us and we will delete it sooner.

What this site does not do

No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, no social plugins. The typefaces are served from this site, not from a font provider. Nothing is stored in your browser. Until you press send, no third party knows you were here.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, object to our using it, or receive it in a portable form. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within a month. If you think we have got it wrong, you can complain to the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or to the authority where you live.
